Mile 1053.2 to Mile 1070.2 - 17 miles
The office sounds a bit "ho hum" I guess but it was a day that got better as it wore on. We've continued to stall on mileage to delay arrival at Tahoe. The day started skirting around these rugged outcrops which have been prominent in this section
After a couple if climbs I was able to pick up a bit of 4G & AT&T so sorted some emails and a bit of the blog.
The view ahead suggests we weren't quit of the Sierras yet. We passed to the left side of the mountains ahead of us
A mile or so later and I was caught by Goldfish & Topo who were on a mission to get to Tahoe. It was good to catch up though.
The Jeff Davis Peak kept my attention most of the afternoon
It's prominence suggested it was left by aliens as a point of reference for when they return...
Our climb of the day was approx 1200 feet to just over 9000 feet around the appropriately named mountain "The Nipple".
Another 17 miles tomorrow before we drop in to Tahoe.....Weta
