Day 17 - Zero Day in Big Bear Lake

After the exertions of the climbs & weather events of the last 5 days it was decided to take a zero here in Big Bear. We are at a cool hostel called Mountain Adventure Lodge where for USD25.00 a night we also get dinner, breakfast & free laundry.
Big Bear is two places being the "City
" & the Lake - about 12000 population. It's a winter resort type place with ski fields above the town.
Like all American small town folk we have met, they are very friendly, genuine in their interest in what you are doing & generous with their wishes.
So the day has been spent drying & cleaning gear, organising resupply, updating the blog & generally chilling out - I've had a bit of a stomach bug so hopefully that passes quickly. Back on the trail tomorrow Weta (although some want that changed to Jukebox as I have a habit of bursting in to song depending on the situation).
